WHAT I LEARNED

I’ve always loved finding simple, useful ideas in everyday life. When you see one of those solutions, scale it up, add color, and make it strong enough to hold a ton of weight, it transforms into something innovative, fun, and functional.

Inspired by the ubiquitous system found in virtually every garage and corner store, Giant Peg brings a playful, oversized, and colorful interpretation to retail. Designed to be strong and affordable, this system can adapt easily to virtually any type of merchandise, from hardgoods to apparel, and to any retail environment, from pop-up shops to small shop-in-shops. The combination of bright, glossy powder coated hardware and matte laminate panels creates a simplistic, modern interpretation of the familiar, and highly-efficient, age-old pegboard.

At Kit and Ace, Giant Peg in white stores spools of thread in their repair and customizing area – a personalized service for customers.

The Giant Peg board with spools are displayed next to their seasonal mood board, all suspended from System 1224.

In the foreground:
The 2-way with 12″ Shelf Brackets/Faceouts and Tray Shelves. Tray Shelves can be used as thick-profile shelving, or flipped over and used as trays, as seen on the top shelf of the 2-Way.

Graphics and merchandise that change with the seasons and in popularity are easily switched out with Puck.

Oxon Hill, Maryland Peeps store, the first-of-its-kind shop beckoned customers in with a cheery yellow VW Beetle parked outside, an iconic Peep perched on top.

The oversized Pegs mimic the ubiquitous smaller versions.
