Good design transcends disciplines, from magazines to industrial design, and from advertising to catalog work. It's driven by a thoughtful process, thorough research, a deep understanding of context, and a sophisticated, appropriate execution.

Kevin McPhee has been Creative Director at B+N for over 30 years. In this role he defines market trends, develops and designs new product to meet the needs of the ever-changing markets B+N participates in, strategizes, creates and employs brand development for both B+N and clients who engage the company for those services. Throughout his tenure at B+N, the company has received repeated recognition in international editorial, as well as several design-oriented accolades such as the Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards. Kevin continues to drive the company forward with modern, relevant, intelligent, and forward-thinking product solutions.

Before joining B+N, Kevin developed brand strategies and created integrated marketing programs for companies such as Revo Sunglasses, Marmot Outdoor Clothing and Gear, Apple Computer, and Hansgrohe Luxury Bath Fixtures. Kevin’s professional career spans both coasts, having acted as Creative Director for Sam&Libby, a fashion and footwear company, and in various senior positions in both advertising and editorial in New York. Some of the companies he was involved in are Grey Advertising, Home Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Woman Magazine, and other publications within the broad Condé Nast Publications community. Kevin graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1981 with a Degree in Fine Arts.
